Do you like bread? Enjoy this twist on white bread flavored with rosemary! Unlike many commercial bakeries that use bromated/carcinogenic ingredients, I use simple and minimally processed ingredients to make a delicious and filling bread. This aromatic loaf is ideal for hearty sandwiches or breadcrumbs. 2-3 slices meets over 20% of your daily iron needs. It's also great for sandwiches or toasts on the go. This loaf makes approximately 10-12 slices + 2 endpieces. Slice as you go for best quality (unless if you plan to freeze it). Since my bread doesn't contain any preservatives, it's best to consume or freeze within 3 days of picking up. The bags are freezer friendly.

This popular plant produces a mass of golden yellow daisy-like flowers from July to September. The flowers are borne to a height of 24 inches, above slightly hairy, lance-shaped foliage. Dazzling mounds of yellow flowers with a deep brown center. Rudbeckia is very long blooming, unbothered by insects or drought. Grows in rich, moist soil in full sun to part shade. Plant in the border garden or cottage garden, where the nectar rich flowers will attract butterflies. Use as a cut flower. Hardy in zones 4-9.

I believe I was a bit over-zealous in dividing my Rudbeckias. I need the space for other great plants as well, so I've cut the price on these lovely fall bloomers. Some of these are young plants which may not bloom this year, but I'm willing to guarantee that they will be spectacular by next fall. Shasta Daisies are all-time favorites for the perennial border. The cheery flowers begin to appear in late spring and continue on for several months if faithfully deadheaded. Shastas mix so effortlessly with other perennials that no garden should be without them! This is a plant that is easily grown in average, well-drained soils in full sun. It's a good cut flower, attracts butterflies, is suitable for dried flowers, and serves as a butterfly nectar sources. In spring, remove all dead foliage; and cut back to basal foliage in fall. Cuttings can be done in summer; and division can be done in the spring and is recommended every 2-3 years. Fertilize with Holly-tone or a water soluble fertilizer as recommended.
