Field peas, crowder peas, cream peas (along with blackeye peas) are all part of a larger species of beans commonly called “cowpeas” or “Southern peas.” Despite their names, none of these varieties is actually a pea. These beans were brought to the New World from Africa and became part of the Southern diet beginning in the 1600s. Cowpeas are commonly grown in the South since they are adaptable, heat-tolerant, and drought-resistant.

Cubanelle peppers are slightly lighter in color than sweet bell peppers, but have more of a tart (but still sweet) flavor. Like the pablano peppers, they are great roasted, stuffed or grilled! Our peppers are never sprayed with pesticide and the only "fertilizer" we used this year is from chickens!!

The daikon radish looks like a white or purple carrot. It's a root vegetable, but instead of having a potent, peppery taste, it's sweet, crisp and mild. It can be used in salads, pickled or even stir-fried. It's popular in some Asian cuisines.....Daikon has many unbelievable therapeutic virtues and it is rich in nutrients. It is high in minerals including calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, vitamin C, vitamins of group B and fibres, it has fat-burning properties because it metabolises them....Try them baked or boiled in stews and soups or in a stir fry. Also try them lightly steamed with olive oil, salt or lemon juice for flavor. Eat 'em Raw. Slice daikon radishes and eat raw with a dip or peanut butter or add shredded raw Daikon radishes to salads.

My mistake is your gain. Several of my daylilies were divided a couple of years ago but not labeled. I've been waiting for them to bloom so I could label them. But the spot where I have them in the greenhouse doesn't get enough sun, and they haven't bloomed. I'm tired of waiting for them, and it's time to find them a new home. I suspect some of these are the large double orange with darker marks which is prolific in my greenhouse. But some are not; I have several rebloomers in stock, as well as several with contrasting throats, eyes, etc. Colors range in the whole daylily rainbow: yellows, oranges, pinks, reds, purples. Potluck will be your luck! Daylilies are often called "the perfect perennial", and for good reason. These are the size I generally sell for $8.50 per plant, with many having multiple fans. Be sure to plant them in a good sunny spot, and they should bloom faithfully for you beginning next year.
