To combat textural issues commonly found in whole grain bread, Foster Bakery's whole wheat dough goes through an autolyze period to soften the dough and includes butter to add a pleasant flavor. This loaf is ideal for hearty whole foods that complement the chewy texture of whole wheat. My favorite uses for whole wheat include chicken/turkey sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, and peanut butter toast. For a sweet treat, this bread is perfect for cinnamon toast. Slice as you go for best quality (unless you plan to freeze it). This bread is made on Tuesdays, and it's best to consume or freeze no later than Friday. The bags are freezer-friendly. This loaf makes approximately 10-12 slices + 2 endpieces. All of Foster Bakery's breads are free from artificial preservatives and harmful additives commonly found in mass-produced baked goods.
