Luffa What is a luffa? Think of a "scrubby" used in the shower. Maybe you think of a "sponge". Luffa is a vegetable and a member of the squash family. When small (about 6") it can be eaten like okra. But at East Fork Farm, we allow them to remain on the vine and grow all summer long until right before the first frost. At that point, they are pulled from vine, dried out, shucked of their outer hard flesh and stripped. This provides long cylindrical shaped sponge to use in many ways. We love our luffa. It has SO many uses. From cleaning your body to your pots (works great on cast iron), dishes, scrubbing showers, floors, to even a safe chew toy for dogs.

Organic coconut oil, sunflower oil, fresh goat milk, lye, shea butter, castor oil, organic activated charcoal. Here in middle Tennessee there are lots of rattlesnakes. Putting activated charcoal on a snakebite can save a life. It pulls poison out of the wound immediately, giving more time to get the victim to medical treatment. We don't recommend chasing rattlers to test it, but we do think that any substance that can remove snake venom is worth considering as a toxin remover. That's why we put it in this unscented soap. To remove toxins. Put the snake down, please.

Organic coconut oil, sunflower oil, fresh goat milk, lye, shea butter, castor oil Our unscented bar is made with oatmeal. But you probably shouldn't eat it. We put oatmeal in this bar to act as an exfolient, and for its soothing qualities. Not for you to eat it. We usually recommend this soap to anyone with dry or itchy skin, or anyone with a minor irritation to fragrances. But please don't eat it.

Organic coconut oil, sunflower oil, fresh goat milk, lye, shea butter, castor oil, fragrance oil. Is there a scent that reminds you of someone in your life? Everytime I smell a gardenia it reminds me of my grandmother. She loved getting her hands dirty in the garden. I believe if she was still here she would love getting them clean with this soap.
