Attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, pollinators, deer resistant, rabbit resistant, slug resistant, low maintenance. ("Resistant" does not mean "proof".) An excellent hosta for a small garden with a compact, medium-sized mound of gorgeous, glaucous blue-green, flattened, heart-shape leaves. Pairs well with bright, variegated hosta varieties. Slow growing. Retains its color well in the heat of summer in shadier locations. Dies back in winter. Tall stems of showy pale lavender-mauve flowers on 26" stems emerge in summer. It is an erect plant growing to about 14 inches tall with heavily textured. spear-shaped blue-green leaves resembling seersucker fabric. Hostas prefer consistent moisture but will tolerate somewhat dry soil. Drainage is most important, to prevent dormant season crown rot. They might wilt in very warm temperatures unless frequently watered, and high humidity sometimes encourages snails and slugs, which can chew ragged disfiguring holes in the foliage. In spring, its heart-shaped leaves have a blue center and a thick creamy white margin. By summer, the center of the leaves deepens to blue-green and the margin brightens to white. The thick, slug resistant foliage may develop a greenish blush over portions of the margin during late summer. Attracts hummingbirds. 16" tall x 30" wide. Good background plant in shady borders, shade gardens or woodland gardens.

A 1 lbs 10 oz flank steak that is seasoned generously with thyme, oregano, rosemary, Himalayan sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper. That is layered with boursin garlic, shallot and herbed cheese, sweet and tangy sun dried tomatoes, and spinach. I roll this meaty stuffed flank log and roast it for 45 minutes @ 400 degrees. In the picture taken I was able to cut 6 fat pieces from this when it was finished. This will feed two people very happily with two pieces for leftovers another day. When you order this dish it will come as it is from the oven at a doneness of a medium/ medium well It will also not be cut into slices. Ingredients: Flank steak, boursin garlic, shallot and herbed cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, thyme, oregano, rosemary, Himalayan sea salt and black pepper. Reheat Instructions: Preheat Oven to 350 degrees f. Cut from steak log to desired thickness. Place steak slices into pan cover with foil. Cook for 7-10mins or until hot.
