Reminiscent of the bygone era of homemade fried hand pies, those flavors come back to life, but in a baked version. Warm fresh apples are simmered to create the pie filling that fills the scratch-made butter pie crust. Hot from the oven they are glazed to retain a thin layer of icing which makes them extra decadent. Ours still have the bloom on to prolong freshness. They are counterstable for up to 2 weeks or refrigerator stable for several months.
