Sweet Beets Farm
We are a small family farm that believes in clean food, healing the land and supporting the community.
Our plants/soil enjoy worm and tea composts, no tilling, crop rotation, and intercropping. We do not use any artificial chemicals to fertilize the soil nor to manage pests. This is a labor intensive method, intended to heal the soil, while also growing nutrient-dense food. These along with some of our other farming practices are commonly referred to as regenerative farming.
Another aspect of regenerative farming, is having diversity within the garden beds. This is intended to reduce the impact of garden pests.
We like variety in our cooking and to taste the flavors from around the world on our plates. No surprise that the gardens grow just those things, full of variety.
