Nettle helps detoxify the body, promotes cardiovascular health, and alleviates allergic reactions. Nettle is used for joint ailments, as a diuretic, and as an astringent. It has also been used to treat frequent or painful urination. Goji Berries are an adaptogen, contain antioxidants, and are a great source of nutrition. They contain large amounts of vitamins A and C, B2, selenium, potassium, and iron, and have been used to treat fever. Steep 1 tbsp in 1 1/2 cups hot water for 10-15 minutes. Add honey or other sweetener to taste.

A very well done and traditional side of collard greens to enjoy with your next meal. Well balanced flavors of smoky, savory, fatty, sweet and sour, with a tad bit of spicy, are stewed with your greens in chicken stock for at least 2 hours before being finished. Ingredients: Collard greens, garlic, onions, bacon , butter, chicken stock, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, tabasco, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Reheating instructions: Place collard greens onto microwave safe dish and cook for 45secs or until hot. or place onto a small pot or sauté pan over medium to high heat for 3 minutes or until hot.

The 7 Pot Douglah, also known as the 7 Pod Douglah or Chocolate 7 Pod, is one of the rarest and hottest of the 7 pod strains. Currently the 3rd hottest pepper in the world behind #1 The Carolina Reaper and #2 Trinidad Moruga Scorpion. The Douglah is characterized by a dark brown/deep purple skin with many “pimples” over the surface. The pepper starts out green and matures to the dark color uniuqe to the Douglah. When you slice a fresh Douglah open, you will immediately see pools of liquid capsaicin oils that give this chili so much heat. The placenta is where most of the capsaicin oils are stored. Has excellent flavor fresh or as a powder.

Luffa What is a luffa? Think of a "scrubby" used in the shower. Maybe you think of a "sponge". Luffa is a vegetable and a member of the squash family. When small (about 6") it can be eaten like okra. But at East Fork Farm, we allow them to remain on the vine and grow all summer long until right before the first frost. At that point, they are pulled from vine, dried out, shucked of their outer hard flesh and stripped. This provides long cylindrical shaped sponge to use in many ways. We love our luffa. It has SO many uses. From cleaning your body to your pots (works great on cast iron), dishes, scrubbing showers, floors, to even a safe chew toy for dogs.
