Welcome to another week of great products on the Stones River Market. Market is open today from 8am until Monday evening at 10pm.
Please share the Stones River Locally Grown Market information with you family and friends. If there is any certain things you’d like to see available please let me know. We are in planning stage of events for this year, Meet Your Farmer is planned for March or April, a Market Birthday in July, any suggestions is appreciated.

Farrar Farms: Great response last week we are having our Meat Special again this week. Buy $25 of Beef and get a FREE pound of Ground Beef!
Trinity Rose is back this week with Herbal Healing Elderberry Syrup and Gluten Free Biscuits.
Carole’s Herbs (CS3 Farms): Have several delicious herbal teas available, Healing Salves and Oils and highly requested Mustards.
Dogwood Valley Greenhouse: Christmas has come and gone, and now the “winter doldrums” set in. How about some pretty houseplants to help cheer you up? Dogwood Valley Greenhouse has African violets just coming into bloom, as well as some nice foliage hanging baskets.
It’s almost time to get a jump on spring by starting garden plants inside! But you don’t have a good place to do that? Dogwood Valley Greenhouse can grow them for you! This year we want to grow what you want in your garden. Let us know what you’d like us to grow for you. We will purchase and plant the seeds, and you can buy what you need at planting time. Some possibilities are: tomatoes, peppers, and other vegetables, perennial and herb plants, bedding plants, and hanging baskets. Message us on the market to let us know what you’re interested in, and we’ll contact you with details.
Flying S Farms: A favorite of our customers is our Almost Seedless Blackberry Jam it is back on the market again. We will be Jammin’ tomorrow and will add more to the market, be sure to check back. Mustard and Turnip Greens, Carrots and Savoy Cabbage are available this week.

Good Morning, hope everyone is staying warm and safe and preparing for the upcoming week. Don’t forget to stock up on your favorite items and check out any new things available or better yet, try something you have not had yet.
Several things available this week. This week will be getting colder again, sounds like a good time to make soups, stews, gumbo, chili and add fresh breads and desserts with your meal. Spice things up with some of the market seasonings and chili sauces.

HAPPY 2019 NEW YEAR, we are looking forward to a wonderful new year and a great market season. Market will open at 8am and close Monday evening at 10 pm.

Farrar Farms is running a special of 20% off of purchase of $50 or more. Discount will be applied at delivery on Wednesday. Great time to restock your freezer and prepare some winter soups or meals.
Flying S Farms has the last of winter carrots available and salad onions, also a new Friendship Bread – Dark and White Chocolate Marbel, quality control reports “it is very delicious”!
Rocky Glade Farm still has their wonderful sweet potatoes and winter squash available.
Botanical Harmony will be back on the market next week.

MARKET IS OPEN….Sit and shop today and tomorrow until 10pm where you are warm and dry with no traffic or lines! The Market has some wonderful gift options. All of our growers have items that would make a wonderful gift/s or perhaps putting together a GIFT BASKET. Only 2 markets left before Christmas or family gatherings.
Gift Certificates are always a great choice, the recipient can select what they would like. It can be redeemed all at once or in partial purchases. Great way to introduce the market to family or friends, all they need to do is set up an account, order items of their choice and bring their Gift Certificate on pick up day, that easy.

Erdmann Farm update
Your assistance is and has been greatly appreciated helping John and Tish Erdmann cleaning their farm from the damage and debris from recent tornado damage.
If you are able, today starting at Noon – 3pm is another clean up day. Any help is appreciated. They may need assistance next weekend also, will update you if they do.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for Catherine’s (my) recovery, I have an appointment with the Orthopedic this week to see what will be next in my recovery. I will have assistance in the kitchen later this week, planning to have our Baked items available next week.
Trinity Rose Oberhasli Dairy Goats: I wanted to reach out to each of my Trinity Rose dairy goat products customers and firstly let you know that I have been very thankful for your support of my small farm this year. The Cajun Diva: added a several new items this week, Cushaw Pie and Sweet Potato Pie, I love her description for this pie; A traditional Thanksgiving staple, this deliciousness is made with fresh and local Tennessee sweet potatoes. Your table will be undressed without it! Find Tandoori Tomato Jam and Smoked Tomato Jam that pair well with cheeses and meats.
