Our Grower’s News:
WELCOME…Pennie’s Delights:
I have been making Homemade Sweets and Treats for over 20 plus years, I had the pleasure of sharing my baked good with family and friends. I started while I was in grade school, and it has always been my passion. But now I would love to share them with everyone I come in contact with. I am single mother with 2 grown kids, now that they are grown, I would love to focus on my business I have always wanted..
WELCOME….Sweet Beets Farm: we are a small family farm that believes in clean food, healing the land and supporting the community. Our plants/soil enjoy worm and tea composts, no tilling, crop rotation, and intercropping. We do not use any artificial chemicals to fertilize the soil nor to manage pests. This is a labor intensive method, intended to heal the soil, while also growing nutrient-dense food. These along with some of our other farming practices are commonly referred to as regenerative farming.
Another aspect of regenerative farming, is having diversity within the garden beds. This is intended to reduce the impact of garden pests.
We like variety in our cooking and to taste the flavors from around the world on our plates. No surprise that the gardens grow just those things, full of variety.
We also have Sweet Beets Naturals
Using natural materials, we handcraft beautiful and playful pieces, meant to inspire happiness and appreciation for life. Ropes and jump ropes are custom orders allow 1-6 weeks for custom orders
Rainbow Hill Farm: Welcome Back!! available this week…
Gala Apples: They are sweet, fine textured, and aromatic, can be added to salads, cooked, or eaten raw, and are especially suitable for creating sauces.
Ginger Gold: a green to yellow sweet apple with some tartness, crisp and juicy.
Ozark Gold: Has Golden Delicious in its breeding. Flavor is more tart.
Honeycrisp: Pleasant sweet-tart flavor that varies in strength depending upon the maturity of the apple.
Sundae’s Best Dog Treatery: New items this week for your best furry friend!
Sweet Potato & Applesauce:
These dog treats are home baked, with NO added preservatives. The ONLY ingredients are: whole wheat flour, eggs, sweet potato (no skin), and organic applesauce. Like the peanut butter & pumpkin treats, our pup is CRAZY for these!
Flying S Farms: Few of our Chickens have come back to work! Others are still on STRIKE! But we do have few dozen available this week. We also have Zucchini, also have large Zucchini that is delicious cut in flat half and put on your grill or frying and baking or making Zucchini Pancakes! also Bell Peppers, Yellow Straight Neck Squash, Scallop Squash, Cucumbers, Onions, Bi-color Corn Peaches and Cream, Tomatos, Fresh cut Lemon Balm, Baked goods have returned, Sweet Breads, and Sour Dough Breads, Biscuits…are available this week!
