Market News

The Market is back open this morning as August arrives and the start of school is not too far away. We have farmers adding new products and vendors returning from an extended break.

I want to thank the Blue Porch for attending last week’s pick up. Hopefully, many of you were able to sample their cold salads and hot sauces. One thing you may not know about the Blue Porch is they also are caterers.

The following are some of the new and returning items:

  • Chef Jenny comes back to us with her seasonings and introduces her snack mixes now in larger sizes.
  • Ferris Family Farm returns with peppers and turkish orange eggplant.
  • Flying S Farms brings an old time favorite strawberry rhubarb jam made from Middle Tennessee strawberries and rhubarb.
  • Our newest farmer, JourneyWorks Community Gardens has corn, new tomatoes and peppers available this week.
  • Rainbow Hill Farm brings fresh peaches to the Market this week. Get them while you can.
  • Honey from Rocky Glade Farm returns to the Market as well as mountain rose and yukon gold potatoes.

There are plenty of other products available this week. Browse the categories to see what your will find.

Thanks so much for your support of Stones River Market, all of our growers, local food, and our rights to eat it. We’ll see you on Wednesday at Southern Stained Glass at 310 West Main Street from 5:00 to 6: 30 pm!
