GROWER NEWS:

Few of our Growers are at the end of their growing season and will return in the Spring.

Yentz Family Farm: We are taking a brief break to rest and prepare for the upcoming holidays. We will have several delicious pies and other goodies next week for your Thanksgiving meals and make your baking easier. Watch for our news in next weeks weblog.

WELCOME:

Triple LLL Farm: We are a SMALL FAMILY FARM IN WATERTOWN, TN. We are a local Pork and Chicken Farm. We pride ourself in regards that everything we sell is raised right here on our farm in Watertown Tennessee. We are a 1st Generation farm. We are learning everyday. We strive to do right by our customers and bring the freshest and healthiest meat we can offer. This week we are excited to offer cuts of Pork and Chicken, Brats, Sausage and Bacon.

Welcome back Oakview Farm: we will have scallions and salad mix fresh from our gardens! We also have our famous Roasted Strawberry Jam, Sourdough Boules, and homemade Peppermint Patties.

Rainbow Hill Farm: We are getting close to the end of our apple season, be sure to stock up on your favorites, you can keep them in a dark, cool place like the bottom crisper of your refrigerator crisper drawer, they can also be wrapped in paper and store in a covered box and keep in a cool dark place. We have several varieties of apple this week:

Rome – Dark Red, Mild Flavor, good for both cooking and baking
Winesap – A hard tart apple. Great for cooking.
Gold Rush – Medium sized green-yellow cross between golden delicious and Rome apples. High in vitamin C. Good for both eating fresh and cooking. Does not brown easily when cut so is good for fruit salad. Has excellent sweet-tart flavor
Yellow Delicious – Very sweet to the taste. It is a favorite for salads, apple sauce, and apple butter.
Arkansas Black – Tart flavor. Best keeping of any apple. Will keep all winter if kept in cool dry place. Last apple of season.

Carole’s Herbs (CS3 Farms): This week we have a limited number of the All in One Honeys. They are great for the medicine cabinet. Spicy sweet kick the bug out goodness. They would be great in wellness care package with cold care tea. Long shelf life and if you keep it in the fridge the dold feels extra soothing on a sore throat. Available 1.5 and 4 oz. sizes. I also have some fresh made elderberry syrup. Not a fan of syrup I also have an elderberry extract. Either are great for helping to prevent catching those viuses or limiting the duration of them.

Pennies Delights: We offer several dessert and snack items, they make great hostess gifts. They will store well in refrigerator or freezer. If you freeze them do not remove wrapping, let them thaw wrapped up.

Lavender Cottage: Several of their items would go great as Holiday Gifts!

We have added Freeze Dried: Bell Pepper Powder, Tomato Powder, Kale Powder and Tomato. Also have Dried Salsa Mixes. We also have several Freeze Dried fruits and veggies. If anyone is looking for a particular freeze dried candy please by all means send me an email and I’ll do my best to have them available for next week.
