This is a great time to prepare your grills and firepits for those cookouts and family gatherings with products from our Great Selection of Growers! There have been many local Farmer’s Markets that have opened, beat the heat and crowds and the challenge of parking and support the Growers on Stones River Market. Grower’s on our Market are local, within a 35 mile radius and a few of our Growers only sell through our Stones River Locally Market, thank you for supporting our local Grower’s.

Please share our market web address with your health-conscious friends, via text, email, or social media (and/or forward this message). https://stonesriver.locallygrown.net The more healthy members we have, the more variety of produce and product we can provide!

Welcome our newest Grower:

Sweet Girl Honey Farm: We are a family farm in Woodbury, TN using regenerative agricultural practices to produce raw-unfiltered honey, infused honey, honey sweetened jams/jellies, herbal teas/spice blends and natural beeswax/tallow skin care and soap. We also provide fresh eggs (chicken, quail), meat rabbits (availible in August) and seasonal fresh produce (vegetables, herbs, fruit, live plants).

Grower’s News:

Linwood Lamb: we are back this week with 2 new products: Chorizo Lamb Brats and Fetta Cheese and Spinach Lamb Sliders. We have restocked all cuts including the popular Thick Cut Lamb Chops and the Big Juicy Lamb Leg Steaks. If you are grilling this summer, make sure Linwood Lamb is on the menu!

Quarter Spring Farm: Due to unprecedented demand, Quarter Spring Farm will be out of breast cuts for about the next month. I already have some more chickens in, so we should be fully restocked by early August at the latest. In the meantime, we still have plenty of whole birds and thigh cuts. And all of our chicken is raised on pasture and fed non-GMO feed to make it extra delicious and good for you. And we also have plenty of skin-softening goat’s milk soap. I have added a new product onto the market this week, our Soap End Sampler. Thanks for all of your support and try to stay cool out there.

Thweet Things: These are handmade Japanese style knot bags in three sizes. They have multiple uses including project bags for embroidery or knitting, book bags, market bags, garden picking bags…anything you need to tote. The small size is perfect for when you need only to carry a phone and wallet. They are constructed of heavy cotton (like duck fabric) for durability and lined with coordinating quilting cotton. The large size has interior pockets: two small pockets for pencils/pens or knitting needles and three larger pockets for your phone or keys. Small: approximately 9.5” x 13.5”. Medium: approximately 12.5” x 17.5” Large: approximately 16” x 28.5” Machine washable. Lay flat to dry. Lightly iron if needed.

Rus-T-Farm: We have a good selection of our Angus Beef and Pork products this week.

RC Farms: Along with a great assortment of produce and BEEF we now have some popular fruit available and more to come. Find Cantaloupes, Peaches & Cream Corn and Peaches this week. We’ve restocked our Beef selections.

Terry’s Treasures: I have started making beautiful hand painted vases that will let you showcase your own beautiful flowers. Several different color designs or you can request your own color.

Sow’s Ear Piggery: we are back on the market this week with ‘NEW’ Non-GMO pork products, including pork tenderloin, cutlets, and chops, as well as roasts, ground pork, and mild pork sausage (no MSG).
You will notice some packaging changes with the ground products, as our butcher was unable to source the typically tube-like sleeves we are accustomed to getting. Also, this order was from a pig with a higher fat percentage due to its heritage breeding. In the past, if you have needed to add a little oil to fry our sausage or ground pork, this will not be necessary. In fact, you will be able to drain a couple of tablespoons of oil from your skillet. This rendered lard is excellent for sauteing garlic, onions, mushrooms, or cooking eggs. Studies have shown that outdoor, pasture-raised pigs have higher omega 3 and lower saturated fat than commercial pork raised in warehouses on concrete with no access to foraging. As always, Sow’s Ear Piggery pork is non-GMO fed and USDA inspected.

Flying S Farms: This week we have our Fresh Farm Chicken Eggs, Green Garlic Bulbs, Zucchini and Yellow Straight neck Squash, Scallop Squash, Cucumbers, Onions and Potatoes, Sweet Peppers, Peaches & Cream Corn if we get some rain, will add to our inventory when we do. Most are of our Baked items are available, by request added our delicious Zucchini Pineapple Bread with our without nuts.

Bean Man: We will be off market for a couple weeks due to a out of state family illness

Thank you and have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
