Market is OPEN -- See you Wednesday

Welcome to this weeks Stones River Online Farmers Market. We are OPEN – Sunday 8AM, April 10th and Monday April 13th until 10PM.

Easter Sunday is next week, April 17th, this is the last week to get your order in for the special Holiday season. Several great items on the Market to add to your dining menu or as gifts.

Please share our market web address with your health-conscious friends, via text, email, or social media (and/or forward this message). https://stonesriver.locallygrown.net The more healthy members we have, the more variety of produce and product we can provide!

We look forward to seeing you on the Porch this Wednesday, April 6th from 5-6:15, with deliveries following. Know that our growers have the hour prior to get their products organized so things might be a bit hectic (and crowded) if you come early.

If you CAN NOT pick up by 6:15pm, please let us know, we can make your orders available with Quinn’s Mercantile so you can stop by and pick them up. If we are NOT notified, your order will be donated and you will be invoiced for the amount of your order. We still need to pay our Growers for their products.

Delivery Service is available for $10 within a 10 mile radius of Murfreesboro, outside areas additional $1.00 per mile is added. Delivery is also available to Woodbury at a host location for $10. If this is the first time you’ve requested delivery please put your address in the comments before you check out and any special instructions. An Invoice will be emailed to you that includes a $1.00 Invoice fee after your order is Delivered. Again, please make sure your email and address is current. There will be additional $5.00 fee added if Delivery is requested after Market has closed on Monday Evening.

Weblog from a few of our Grower’s:

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse: Beautiful flowering containers are now available along with other wonderful plants that will make a wonderful gift to yourself or someone special. Spring Pansy Planter, Dwarf White Anemone, Coral Bell Plants just to name a few.

Quarter Spring Farm: is so thankful for all of the great support from everyone at the market. As usual, we have delicious pasture raised chickens, sultry goat milk soap to scandalously spoil your skin, and beautiful and tasty free range chicken eggs. We will be swapping out some of our soap scents in the next few weeks, so make sure you stock up on our winter scents like Boozy Santa and Piney Wacko while we still have them in stock.

Oakview Farm: Available this week we will have our new Granaat Chinese Cabbage, a new variety we are growing this year. We will also have have our beautiful spinach on sale this week, along with salad greens mix, young mustard greens, radishes, premier kale (rape), duck and chicken eggs, garlic chives, and oregano!

Sap Creek Gardens: we have a large selection of Herbs and other items that will brighten you day an your garden up.

Emerald Acres: Thank you and enjoy what we have available this week: Fresh Cut Parsley, Kale Rapini, Mixed Kale Bunch,
Seasonal Bouquet, Spinach, Spring Garlic, Strawberries, Swiss Chard.

Spring Meadow Farm: Arugula, Fresh Cut Mint, Hakurei Turnips, Kale, Purple Top Turnips, Spring Lettuce Mix.

Bean Man: Just in time for Easter next weekend, Bean Girl mixed up a special batch of our 4 Bean Soup Mix. We have been unable to get more of the French Square Jars we normally use so we have packaged the bean mix in our standard 2 pound bags. This is a great addition to your Easter meal as well as by itself. Bean Girl’s recipe for the soup with cooked ham is on the package so if you are having ham, save some to make for a delicious and hearty soup. Even without the ham, you can use a combination of fresh vegetables such as carrots, celery and a touch of garlic – the recipe calls for 2 cups of bean mix, so you’ll be able to make two batches from each package and save some for later! If you follow us on social media, we also posted a picture of our Margarita Grilled Chicken using our Fresh Black Beans and yellow rice made last week – the chicken is marinated using dry margarita mix found in most grocery stores for a zesty twist.

As always, we have our full line of Fresh Beans, Chili Mix, Scottish Oatmeals and Gluten Free Flours along with our Ready to Mix products to satisfy anyone who is gluten intolerant, celiac, vegan, vegetarian or just wants to enjoy a healthy diet. Recipes are found on the packages, the recipe section found on this market and our website.

Tweatt Things: I am making fabric Easter Baskets for your little ones or for decorating your home for the upcoming holiday. I have 3 sizes of reversible Easter Baskets, small, medium, and large. Approximate dimensions at widest point: 6”, 8”, and 10 1/2”.

Periwinkle and Pine Co: We have several ‘Holiday’ special wreaths along with a great selection of other wreaths that will make wonderful gifts or brighten up your home or porch. All handmade with durable materials.

Flying S Farms: This week we have our Fresh Farm Chicken Eggs and we are now offering EGG BUNDLES-3 dozen, great savings! along with our COMEBACK products, most requested Plain Sour Dough Bread, Awesome Brownies, Tangy Lemon Bars, Friendship Breads; Vanilla Cinnamon, Double Chocolate and Lemon Blueberry and Coconut. Both available in standard biscuit size and in 2" size, you can also get them FROZEN so you can pop them in your oven and they are ‘fresh’ baked by you! What’s the difference you ask…the Buttermilk is a traditional ‘like granny use to make’ and Sour Cream is a lighter texture biscuits. Both are equally delicious with our jams. Both of our HOT Jams are delicious used as an appetizer with cheese and crackers, or glaze meats for that little extra zip!
