Market is OPEN -- See you Wednesday

Welcome to this weeks Stones River Online Farmers Market. We are OPEN – Sunday 8AM, March 27th and Monday March 28th until 10PM.

Please share our market web address with your health-conscious friends, via text, email, or social media (and/or forward this message). https://stonesriver.locallygrown.net The more healthy members we have, the more variety of produce and product we can provide!

We look forward to seeing you on the Porch this Wednesday, March 30th from 5-6:15, with deliveries following. Know that our growers have the hour prior to get their products organized so things might be a bit hectic (and crowded) if you come early.

If you CAN NOT pick up by 6:15pm, please let us know, we can make your orders available with Quinn’s Mercantile so you can stop by and pick them up. If we are NOT notified, your order will be donated and you will be invoiced for the amount of your order. We still need to pay our Growers for their products.

Delivery Service is available for $10 within a 10 mile radius of Murfreesboro, outside areas additional $1.00 per mile is added. Delivery is also available to Woodbury at a host location for $10. If this is the first time you’ve requested delivery please put your address in the comments before you check out and any special instructions. An Invoice will be emailed to you that includes a $1.00 Invoice fee after your order is Delivered. Again, please make sure your email and address is current. There will be additional $5.00 fee added if Delivery is requested after Market has closed on Monday Evening.

Bean Man: Thank you for the reception to our hearty, healthy Ready to Mix Cream of Mushroom Soup last weekend – we’ve already gotten feedback from folks who followed our suggestion about using the leftover soup from casserole base and gravy – if you are dairy free, this is perfect – even if you’re not, it’s a great option. Taking half of the mushrooms for each packet set included (we provide 2 sets of dried Shiitake Mushrooms and 2 sets of dry ingredients per package) and milling them to powder to get a better, more flavorful blend really does make a difference. Each package set makes 6 cups of delicious soup. Look for our Ready to Mix Cream of Chicken Soup next weekend.

In the meantime, and in honor of the typical Tennessee March/early April weather, don’t forget our Fresh Dry Beans, Chili Mix (the Stew meat recipe is provided on the package), Scottish Oatmeal, Gluten Free Flours and our Ready to Mix products for a healthy answer to virtually any weather condition whether hot, cold, wet, windy or in between.

Emerald Acres: This week we have:

Fresh Cut Parsley
Head Lettuce
Red Russian Kale
Seasonal Bouquet – featuring beautiful Ranunculus and Anemones

Flying S Farms: As always, Fresh Farm Chicken Eggs and our COMEBACK products, most requested Plain Sour Dough Bread, Awesome Brownies, Tangy Lemon Bars, Friendship Breads; Vanilla Cinnamon, Double Chocolate and Lemon Blueberry also Cast Iron Skillet Cornbread, our popular Buttermilk Biscuits and Sour Cream Biscuits. What’s the difference you ask…the Buttermilk is a traditional ‘like granny use to make’ and Sour Cream is a lighter texture biscuits. Both are equally delicious with our jams. Jams and Jellies this week: Pomegranate Jelly and our 2 most popular Jams; Seriously HOT Strawberry and It’s Hot Peach Habanero. Both of our HOT Jams are delicious used as an appetizer with cheese and crackers, or glaze meats for that little extra zip! Other Jams available: Low Sugar Blueberry, Low Sugar Strawberry, Low Sugar Red Grape Jelly, Just Peach, Just Strawberry, Tart Sweet Dark Cherry and Strawberry Rhubarb, Pomegranate Jelly. Be sure to check back, I will be Jammin the next few days and will have more to select from.
