Welcome to this weeks Stones River Locally Grown Online Farmers Market. The Market is opens 8:00 am on Sunday Morning and closes 10:00 pm Monday evening. Order early before quantities available run out! www.stonesriver.locallygrown.net

I’m thinking it might actually be winter in Tennessee, maybe for a week anyway! Thank you to everyone that came a little early last week to avoid some of the heavy rains. Please be safe if there is bad weather, contact me if you can not pickup your order and we’ll make other arrangements for you “Safety First”.

Here is some News From Our Growers:

Carole’s Herbs (CS3 Farms): Check out our creamy and delicious hummus, our elderberry syrup, fire cider, and shrubs, our delicious herbal healing teas, and our gourmet herbal mustards! Our miner’s lettuce (Claytonia) is coming along, and we have been combining it with our wild rocket arugula and chickweed for a delicious, fresh, hand-picked, “foraged greens salad.“ We need to take a break from the greens this week, but should have enough next week for quite a few servings, so get ready! In the meantime,

Nom Noms Dog Treats: My name is Sandy, I’ve done dog rescue since I was a kid. I started the dog treat business 6 years ago when all those treats were killing dogs and making others sick. I wanted to provide something safe and tasty to my rescue. Once I saw how much others liked my doggie treats I went into business. I do this to not only make a living but to provide free spay/neuters to cut down on all the dogs who end up in shelters or worse. I love being able to provide healthy, safe, yummy treats while helping the pet overpopulation problem. I make them gluten/wheat free so almost all dogs can eat them. 4 ingredients in each, pure and simple ingredients.

Mushamo Valley: New this week is TURTLE-LY RAD! That’s how you’ll be feeling with these adorable turtle buns! Hides a sweet surprise: white chocolate shavings are nestled inside to form a melty center. These are especially nice warmed with a cup of tea or coffee!… Oyster mushrooms naturally fruit in deciduous forests, but our little buddies grow up warm and cozy in the comfort of Mushamo Valley….The Sandwich Medley is a mega-tasty mix of mild Alfalfa and Red Clover sprouts added to zesty, crunchy Daikon Radish sprouts for big zippity, zingy flavor!

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse: It’s daffodil time in Tennessee! The daffodils will come on fast if we have warmish weather. They should be available for at least two more weeks after this one, so if you miss out on the early blooms, please try again next week.

Short Mountain Cultures: We now offer a range of Hatcher Dairy Milk on SRM!! Our offerings include cream top whole milk, chocolate milk, half and half and heavy cream. Support local milk! It is some of the BEST milk around! Also be sure to check out our Tempeh (pronounced TEM-pay)it is a cultured, fermented plant based protein native to Indonesia. Delicious, versatile and quick to prepare tempeh readily accepts your favorite sauces, marinades and dry rub seasonings.

Wedge Oak Farm: We are back again this week with some delicious Meat items! Check out our Artisan Sausages; Tikka Turkey, Nashville Hot Chicken, Duck, Brats, Chorizo Links, French Meatloaf Links, Italian Mild and Medium Sausage.

Caney Fork Farms: Our Winter Season schedule with the Market is monthly, next times will be February 26th and March 25th, returning weekly in April 2020.
