Growers News:

Welcome Dustin Scaccetti of NashPhilly, to the market find delicious meals in ‘Noodles, Pasta and Italian Sauce’
category section on the market.

We have 2 that are available this week:

Beef and Cheese Lasagna Single Portion
Classic lasagna with beef. 3 layers of robust roasted garlic red sauce, and smothered with mozzarella, parmesan, and ricotta cheeses. Infused with Italian herbs such as basil, rosemary, oregano, and parsley. These are in a 9in by 6in by 2in deep pan. Can feed one very hungry person or would be perfect for two people with a side salad or soup. The pasta noodles and beef are all fully cooked, will require additional baking at home!

Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. Single Portion
It’s a roasted garlic and parmesan cream sauce. I add some Italian herbs to finish the pasta like parsley, rosemary, and oregano. The chicken is seared golden brown + delicious and will be sliced and put on top. Single individual portion, but it could probably feed two. I use 8 oz of noodles per order. I recommend you reheat on the stove top with 1/4-1/2cup of heavy cream, little salt and cracked black pepper to have the the best results.

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse: I like to sell perennials in bloom in spring and summer for instant color in your garden, but fall really is the very best time to plant container-grown perennials, shrubs, or trees. Their root systems suffer very little transplant shock, compared to field-grown plant materials. Planting in September or October allows their root system to keep growing all winter in our climate. Maintenance, especially watering, is much easier, with cooler temperatures in fall, and better drought resistance next spring and summer. For this reason, I have made some of my more popular perennials available now, even though they aren’t in bloom in this season. These include the astilbes, dwarf crested iris, woodland phloxes, candytuft, dwarf coreopsis, and shasta daisy this week, with a few more to come. My late season bloomers will now bring color to your garden, including the fall reblooming azaleas, beautiful tall gauras, very unusual toadlily, and taller sedum. I have a huge selection of ferns and hostas ready to plant now in your shade garden, and you can get your whole herb garden planted this fall from my collection. Order soon, as some of these plants are in short supply at this time of year. I have a few nice young hanging baskets which will do a good job of replacing your tired old spring baskets to brighten the house this winter. Lastly, my beautiful Christmas decorations will soon be available for pre-order, including a new smaller size of natural decorated wreath. October orders will be the first ones filled in early December.
