News from some of our Growers:

The Flour Girl:
Hey y’all! The Flour Girl here. I have added some of my best selling items to help you celebrate the holidays! In particular, peanut butter chocolate layer cake, cinnamon rolls, white chocolate chip fudge cookies, apple and pumpkin pies, and fudge. Many of my items are gluten free, but gluten free or not, each item is made with love! For the safety of my customers and the community, I have made a personal commitment to wear a mask anytime I am in my kitchen working for others. As always, thank you so much for supporting my business and I look forward to serving y’all this holiday season.

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse:
Houseplant lovers and giftgivers! Take a look at the Houseplant category this week! Dogwood Valley Greenhouse now has available a few pink Christmas cacti – or actually Thanksgiving cacti. There will be a few more pink ones available each of the next couple of weeks, as they come into bloom. I also may have one or two each white and red, not enough to make available. But if you prefer one of those colors, please let me know in the comments. First come first served, because I don’t have many of either white or red.

I have also added five new African violets to the listings. I’ve been waiting a whole year to do this, ever since I selected and ordered the leaves last fall. These guys are gorgeous! The plants may be a little small right now, but each one I sell will have several blooms and buds coming. Give them a nice light place (sunny south windowsill in the winter, or better yet, 14 hours of fluorescent light, about 18 inches above the plant), don’t overwater them, and they will bloom beautifully for you! Please note that I’ve included a couple of smaller-growing (miniature and semi-mini) plants in this new group. I don’t have many of these new varieties yet, but there will be more on the market as they grow. Your old favorites will also still be available from time to time, as their bloom cycle allows.

I’m also still taking orders for beautiful live Christmas wreaths and kissing balls. Get yours now before I run out of materials!
