Market is OPEN -- See you Wednesday

Hard to believe that this is the last week in June! Fourth of July Festivities are just a couple weeks away! The Market has some great things to help make our Nations Birthday Celebration enjoyable.

The Market is OPEN until Monday evening at 10pm.

News from our Growers:

BB’s Gourmet Pretzels: You can never go wrong setting out our 4 flavors of delicious pretzels and gluten free pretzels and don’t forget our Gluten Free Peanut Butter cookies!

CS3 Farms: We have increased and adjusted our herbal honey infusions and have some new offerings this week!

Take a look at our shrub concentrates, made with fruit, vinegar, and honey. Some have used them as a tasty way to consume probiotics and antioxidants for health purposes!

We also have plenty of nut butter, Herbal Power Balls, Golden Pecan Bites, Gourmet Mustards, Hummus, and herbal teas.

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse: National Pollinators’ Week has just ended (June 17-23), but you can still celebrate by planting a few perennials that will help out our pollinators. Honey bees, butterflies, birds, and other pollinators help grow our food, keep our flowers blooming, and make our lands healthy. Here are a few pollinator attractors, most of which are currently in stock at Dogwood Valley Greenhouse:

Achillea (yarrow)
Anemone
Astilbe
Aster
Campanula (balloon flower)
Columbine
Coreopsis
Daylily
Echinacea (coneflower)
Geranium (cranesbill)
Hosta
Lavender
Monarda
Penstemon (beard-tongue)
Salvia
Scabiosa (pincushion flower)
Sedum
Veronica (speedwell)

We are working on propagating a bunch of other pollinator attractors for future sales. Watch for this category to expand within a year or two!

6R Farms: Our delicious Pecan, Chocolate (with or without meringue), Chocolate Chip and Chess Pies are on the market this week. We’ve also have Blue Lake Green Beans and Sweet Corn this week.

Flying S Farms: Have you ever had Summer Squash off the grill? Amazingly good! We have 9 different selections of summer squash on the market this week and each one has a different taste and texture from the other. Hard to choose, select a variety bag. Fingerling potatoes and red potatoes both are great for salads or roasting and smashing! Burpless Cucumbers, Picking and Slicing perfect for any meal or snack. Don’t forget the bread, from plain sourdough, 7-grain, wheat and Artisan style. Sweet breads and bars for your sweet tooth. Several different of our Strawberry Jams are back on the Market, watch for more Jams returning soon.

Remember we are having a Market Celebration Drawing for my 1st year as Manager and the upcoming Markets 11th Birthday!!! During June and July your name will be put ‘in the hat’ when you place your order. There will be a 1-$25, 1-$10 and 2-$5 Gift Certificate drawing August 7th, be sure to place an order each week to increase your chances for our Gift Certificates.
