Good Morning...Maybe with some much needed Sunshine!

Welcome to another great week on the Market. Just maybe we are free of rain over the next few days so our farmers can get into their fields and start planting much anticipated produce. In the meantime there is some wonderful offerings on the market this week. Enjoy your weekend and see you Wednesday on “The Porch” of Quinn’s Mercantile. Be sure to step inside Quinn’s and see some of their wonderful items for the upcoming holidays and Spring. They have almost a little of everything! Hint: the chocolates are divine!

From our Growers:

Fallen Branch Farm: We are excited to have Fallen Branch Farm back on the market with their all natural Goat Milk Soaps.

CS3 Farm: Find our delicious Power Balls in the Muffin section of the market. You may think you hit the lottery with these delicious and nutritious snacks!

Flying S Farms: Artisan Breads are back and by request we now offer a 2 Small Loaf Combo. Contains: One Natural Small Boule and One Olive Small Boule approximately 1/2 pound each. The Eggcellent Egg Special continues, Buy 2 Dozen, receive $1.00 off, buy 3 Dozen, receive another $1.00 off etc. Our back porch and greenhouse is filling up with plants to get in our fields, waiting for things to dry up and warm up..coming soon Veggies!

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse: St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and you need a beautiful plant with green flowers for your celebration! Check out Dogwood Valley Greenhouse’s “St. Patty’s Plant”, better known as Euphorbia, or Spurge. Since this relative of poinsettia has a poisonous sap, please be aware if you have children or pets.

The African violets are coming back into bloom nicely. For a couple of months, I didn’t realize that violets really don’t like it cooler than 65* inside. The cool weather in their room prevented their blooming much after Christmas. We also have some nice hanging baskets, and the aloe veras will be restocked shortly.

The coral bells are growing very colorful, and will look spectacular in a shady corner with the woodland phlox, pulmonaria, Astrantia (Masterwort), and primroses. Perhaps best of all, the Flowering Almonds, a midsized shrub, are coming into bloom. Their little pink ball-shaped blooms come before the leaves and are adorable!

See you “On the Porch” at Quinn’s Mercantile Wednesday March 13th from 5:00 – 6:30pm, please contact me if you are unable to make delivery or are running late, please phone, email or text me so we can make arrangements to get your order to you.
