Slow-Cooker Sticky Wings

This recipe came to me from Cook’s Country Magazine.

The standard approach of “add wings and sauce to slow cooker, turn on, and wait,” left us with flabby wings and a diluted sauce. Big surprise. We wanted moist wings, lacquered with a sweet yet tangy sauce—the stickier and messier, the better.

Southern Cooked Collards

You can also use this recipe for making poke sallet, but substitute ham hock for the bacon. Start with a large pot, but the collards will cook down quickly.

Spinach and Mushroom Fritatta

I am trying to cut back on my meat intake, so I created this spinach dish without meat and with very little oil. My family thought it very tasty.

You could substitute onion for shallot, and another leafy green for spinach.
