Sweetpea is a small family operation, located on 118 acres of land in Rutherford County, just outside the Murfreesboro city limits. Prior to our move the land had been unoccupied or farmed for the least 4 years.
We are currently growing Non-GMO and heirloom vegetable, herb and flower plant starts. We do not use synthetic pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. We don’t want to eat it and we don’t think our customers will either.
Our starts include traditional southern fare as well as cilantro and a variety of peppers used in Latino dishes.
Basil, Cilantro and Lemon Balm are started and we will be offering Rosemary, Lavender, Thyme, Parsley, Pepper Cress, Chives and Mint.
We also have two large wild blackberry patches we hope to harvest in season.
We are in the process of obtaining our permit to sell the herb and flower starts. We hope to have that in place on or about the 3rd of April.
