We love hosting these young farmers in this endeavor because these girls take pride in their plants and offer us some incredible stock for our organic gardens! Good morning, here is what we have in stock for you this week!

Peyton and Andie Owen will be bringing us summer garden starts again this year on April 19 so you can plan ahead for supporting these wonderful entrepreneurs! They have a good assortment of summer garden veg plants!

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse is bustin’ with blooming spring plants which would love to be in your garden. Now is a great time to plant perennials, even if they are types that will bloom later in the season. We’ve made most of the perennials and some of the ferns available in limited quantities, with more to follow soon. Some of the nicest bloomers this week are: Purple Columbine, Coreopsis, Creeping Phlox, Dianthus, Euphorbia, Hellebore (just one available), Phlox divaricata (a woodland phlox), Pincushion Flower, dwarf Solomon’s Seals, and Vinca (a very nice vine). The herb plants are all doing very well too, with the Valerian coming into bloom. Please be sure to check the Easter Planters, beautiful Rex begonias in nice ceramic planters that look like broken pastel eggs. We have only a very few of these left, and they’d make great table decorations for your Easter meal.

Botanical Harmony Farm will have zesty Mix and alfalfa sprouts this week along with stocked up Tea Tree/Mint with Activated Charcoal goat milk soap, Green Tea & Sea Clay and more! These are great for so many skin types! They also have Muscle Rub back in stock. A wonderful blend of herbal soothers from their fields and farm. Willow and Arnica are some wonderful analgesic helpers along with warming Cayenne and goldenrod for a wonderful aid in soothing sore muscles!

Rocky Glade Farm has some great variety in their offerings this week!

While you wait for the fresh berries to arrive, why not enjoy some preserved fruits from Marcy Jams or Flying S Farms

So much on the market this week and growing throughout the season!

We appreciate you all so very much and look forward to seeing you every week!

Good morning! We hope you are all well and ready for a great week ahead!

Warmer days are bringing wonderful things to the table!

Rocky Glade Farm is with us this week and has Radishes, swiss chard, spinach, carrots, romaine lettuce, casper kale

Linda from Dogwood Valley sends this note:
Spring is really, truly, finally here! The early spring bloomers are very happy in the greenhouse at Dogwood Valley, but would be even happier in your garden. Now is a great time to plant perennials, even if they are types that will bloom later in the season. The stock is great right now, although plants just coming out of hibernation are on the small side. I don’t have more than a dozen of many of them, fewer of some, so get yours now while the selection is good! Some of the nicest bloomers this week are: catchfly, carnations, coreopsis, Euphorbia, Lenten rose (just 1 available!), Phlox stolonifera, pincushion flower, and Vinca minor. The houseplants, hanging baskets, Rex begonias, and Aloe vera, are also very healthy and anxious to join your family. And the herb plants, starting their spring growth now, will be large enough to clip within a few short weeks.

Chef Jenny with Seeds of Success has Dill-icious is a great seasoning to transition from eating winter foods to enjoying spring favorites. Try it on: asparagus, sprouts, kale, spinach, peas, potatoes, hummus, and egg salad. It is a blend of nutritious sunflower seeds, dill, dehydrated onions, sesame seeds, turmeric, and a pinch of sea salt.

Wild Flours will be back this week and we hope they are all feeling much better!

Marcy Jams also returns this week!

Farrar Farms is away this week and returns next week.

Wedge Oak Farm is a local, family farm who provides us, consistently, with quality meat and eggs. Do check out what they have to offer! Duck, pork, chicken and more!

Don’t forget that we can deliver to your door! Select delivery and add to your cart just as you would any product check that your address is correct in the system, set a cooler out and we will deliver during the normal pickup hours on Wednesday.

Good Morning Market family!

Marcy Jams! is away this week and returns next week with new stock!

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse has added several aloe potted plants— This is a larger plant, and includes several ‘pups’ in the pot. Aloe vera is a succulent plant with a clear gel inside the leaves that is used often used as an alternative medical treatment for burns and skin care. Grow inside in bright light, or outside in shade in warm weather, watering every 2-3 weeks. Aloe vera does not like wet feet. To use, remove leaves at the base with a sharp knife, then put in a sandwich bag, wrap in foil, and store in the fridge to reuse for 4 or 5 days.

Wild Flours Bakery is with us this week with breads! Stock up!

Frontier Family Farm and Ferris Family Farm both continue to provide us with quality, no-chemical lettuces and greens needed for the spring tonics our winter blood needs!

Botanical Harmony Farm is updating their soy candle inventory and there will now be essential oils only candles and fragrance oil candles. They will be listed separately and scents will be added as we stock up on Spring scents!
Essential oil candles will include: lavender, eucalyptus mint, orange spice, unscented and more to come.

The fragrance oil options are changing into spring so will be updated this morning and continue on for the following weeks!

So to celebrate, BHF is offering a sale on candles. One for $7 (regular price $8.50) or 2 for $13! These candles have a good long, clean burn and smell incredible! GREAT for gifting!! They also have the smaller sizes listed again!

Botanical Harmony Farm will have Benjamin’s broccoli and zesty sprouts this week. Thank you for your support of our growing sprout business as we work out timing/growing and packaging kinks!

This crazy weather has finished off the daffodils, sadly, but that just means that the greenhouses at Dogwood Valley Greenhouse are coming alive, with the early spring things beginning to bloom. Your garden will delight in the addition of some color to welcome spring very early each year. And can the herbs be far behind? We also have some really nice hanging baskets available, which will need to stay indoors till end of April. Watch the “Live Plants” category, as new plants will be made available each week.
