Growers News:

Calico Farms: With allergy season in full swing, now is the time to breathe easier with our sinus relief shower steamers. Simply place one in the shower with you and let them slowly dissolve, releasing the eucalyptus & peppermint essential oils along with menthol crystals to open you up. Sold in a 2 pack & worth their weight in gold for their invigorating effects.

Spring also means salads and there’s nothing that tops a mixed-greens or spinach salad like our pecans – both the cinnamon sugared & sweet & spicy add a delicious & nutritious crunch that also goes awesome in chicken or tuna salad sandwiches! I actually do the same with our herbed & spicy mixed nuts to tasty results.

Don’t forget to grab your baking essentials too – we have all 3 sizes of our vanilla sugar, a fresh batch of homemade vanilla extract & our organic chocolate syrup that perfectly tops any sundae or makes to-die-for chocolate milk, all with the cleanest ingredients.

Safe and Sound Soap Co.: I started my soap company because I wanted to offer natural and non toxic options to people at an affordable price. I offer a variety of soaps, home and cleaning products, and car air fresheners. All of my items are made with all natural ingredients that you can actually pronounce!
This week I have added a new item! My new and improved Room Freshening Spray! These now come in a new 4 ounce bottle, the scent lasts longer, and you get more product! I have some amazing essential oil scents, as well as my clean non toxic fragrance blends. My favorite essential oil spray of course is Orange Bergamot, this is a great clean scent for your bathroom!! And I for my toxin free fragrance line, I love the Laundry Day scent. It is so fresh and clean!
The ingredients in these will be listed in the description and there you can check to see if the product uses essential oils or my fragrance in case you prefer to use essential oils in your home.

Tailwynds Farm: We have some new cuts of beef available. We have a Picanha Roast Cut. This cut can be grilled to perfection, has wonderful flavor and a similar texture to a sirloin steak and to top it off try a homemade fresh strawberry pie for dessert. If you have not tried a Tomahawk steak we still have some available. We have had amazing reviews on these cuts with customers saying it was the best and most tender steak they have ever eaten. Fire up those grills and give one a try. We have many crops already growing and plan to have all the farm fresh vegetables available as soon as they start coming in.

Emerald Acres: Strawberries, Lettuce Mix, Mixed Lettuce Heads and Spring Mix of Flowers.

Sow’s Ear Piggery: We have re-stocked our “BEST-SELLERS” this week: mild pork breakfast sausage (no MSG) and pork chops! Heritage-breed, pastured pigs on non-GMO/non-soy/non-corn diet. More cuts to be added soon!

I’ve made my Whipped Sugar Scrub in Two new scents this week. I have Orange Creamsicle and Lemon Lavender, Mint. For the Orange Creamsicle I used orange and vanilla essential oils to create a fruity creamy scent that’s light and perfect for summer time. My Lemon, Lavender, Mint is also made with essential oils and smells amazing!! All of my Whipped Scrubs are made with organic coconut oil, unbleached cane sugar, and castile soap, so they can be used as a moisturizing and exfoliating body wash! Also, don’t forget about my Non toxic Car Air Fresheners! These are made with high quality, clean fragrance oils that are vegan and phthalate and paraben free. They smell amazing and last over 2 weeks in your vehicle. They also make excellent gifts! I have these following scents available:

Sea Salt & Sand
Pink Leather
Laundry Day
Cashmere Date
Vanilla Macaron
Watermelon Sugar

This week I am featuring my small batch bar soap. It’s all natural made with nurturing ingredients for your skin, like olive oil and coconut oil, sweet almond oil, oats, and honey from my family’s bee farm. You will LOVE our Honey and Oat soap. It will soften up your skin after one use! Also if you haven’t tried our laundry soap yet, you need to grab some this week. It comes in a 64 oz container that washes 32 loads, as well as a 128 oz container that will wash 64 loads. Both sizes have a handle on the container for easy pouring. My laundry soap comes in Lemon Eucalyptus, Lavender, Orange Bergamot, Citrus, and Lemon Lavender Mint. Each of these are scented with a special blend of high quality essential oils that will not only freshen your clothing with a light scent, but also has cleaning properties to help disinfect your clothing! Don’t forget I also sell my own bottled hand sanitizer spray and non-toxic car air fresheners. These items make excellent gifts for Easter baskets, Mother’s Day, or Birthdays!

Roasted Garlic and cauliflower soup. We roast the cauliflower with garlic, shallots, and thyme in the oven for one hour before blending it with vegetable stock. Calico Farm: UPDATE OOPS! I apologize to Calico Farm I missed getting their news in the Weblog this morning – Catherine

Here we are enjoying beautiful spring weather & Easter is only 2 weeks & markets’ away. Do you have all your baking essentials ready to go? If not, or you’re running low, be sure to get our ever-popular homemade vanilla extract and organic vanilla sugar. Both are made with organic Madagascar vanilla beans and will add special, rich flavor to all your baked goods. They also make perfect, unique hostess gifts.

Back this week are our famous lemon blueberry scones – if you know, you know lol. They are one of 2 products that started our entire business as they are the moistest, most flavorful scones you’ve ever had. These are our customers’ words, not ours! This particular flavor is so bright & bursting with flavor, why wouldn’t you try them? Added bonus? They’re all organic & made with dairy-free butter from heart-healthy coconut & cashew oil – not canola or sunflower/safflower oil like most. Add a 3 or 6 pack to your cart today.

Kumaika Coffee: If you have not woke up with our Coffee, you are missing out! We hace Dark, Medium and Light Roasted Beans. We are a Certified USDA Organic Product provider. Backyard Tailz: Treat your birds arriving from their winter break with my new Cardinal, Chickadee, Woodpecker snacks. Variety of mixes. Still have a few hanging wreaths availabe.

Tailwynds Farm:
Several cuts of Beef on Sale and other assorted cuts of beef available, Coconut Pie, Oreo Cookie Pie and Strawberry Pie.

Valley View Farm & Garden: Crocheted Baby Blankets and Decorative Eastern Bluebird Nesting Boxes and several selections of Dried HOT Peppers along with dried Floral Bouquet.

Safe & Sound Soap Co.: All of my products I have created with my own recipes, using non toxic all natural ingredients. I offer my all natural Laundry Soap, which is made with castile soap and essential oils. This laundry soap cleans your clothes very well without using harsh chemicals or fragrances. I also have available my Whipped Sugar 2 in 1 Body Scrub and Wash. This scrub produces a rich lather that leaves your skin soft and smooth hours after using it.
This week my featured items are:
Small Batch Lye Bar Soap
This soap is carefully hand crafted in small batches using all natural ingredients. This week I restocked the Honey & Oat scent. This soap is made with honey from my family’s bee hives, and a special colloidal oat blend, and sweet almond oil. These ingredients combined help fight dry skin and heal blemishes leaving your skin feeling rejuvenated and smooth. I also have Tea Tree and Mint, as well as my Citrus soap and I offer Unscented bars for those who may have skin sensitivity to essential oils.

Nash Philly: Nashville Hot Chicken Parmesan? My creative twist on two great dishes. It’s everything you would expect from a chicken parm dish. Tender pan fried chicken cutlets, pounded out, and seasoned with garlic, onion, cayenne, paprika, white pepper and freshly crackled black pepper. Breaded and pan fried to golden brown and delicious. And covered with homemade marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Served with spaghetti noodles. For those of you not keen to spicy things we are also doing a regular chicken Parmesan as well.

Beef Wellington a true American classic. Seared 6 oz sirloin steaks that are wrapped in prosciutto exclusively being sold from the Hammery here in Murfreesboro. And a sautéed mushroom and onions mixture ( mushroom duxelle) wrapped in puff pastry. As you bake this dish watch it come to life with its flakey buttery crust. Surely to wow yourself, significant other or guests.

Collard greens done differently but well. Try these creamed collard greens. It’s like a hardy spinach and artichoke dip but without the need of having chips, but a good piece of bread goes very well with this side.
