Market is OPEN - Sweetheart Week

Market is OPEN…it’s Sweetheart Week, enjoy a special day with that special person and enjoy some of what the Market has to offer this week ranging from Scrubs, Creole items, Teas, Breads, Dried Fruit and Nuts, Mixes, variety of meats.

News from our Growers:

Welcome back The Krafty Kupboard: Hummus, Granola, Gluten Free Chili Mix, Pancake Mix, Dressing Mix, to name a few things available this week.

The Creole Diva: Camellia Red Beans and Rice, Creole Jambalaya, Dirty Rice along with Cajun Salt Free Seasonings and Creole Seasoning will warm your ‘heart’ this week. Top off your special meal with Ma Maws Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce, Sweet Potato Pie or Creole Cushaw Pie!

Flying S Farms: Save $1 when you buy 2 dozen of our Free Range Chicken Eggs, for each addition dozen another $1.00 egg! Price will be adjusted at delivery. Buy even more..and save more!

Few Carrots and Butterkin and Kabocha Squash are still available.

CS3 Farm: Try their Herbal Power Balls are made from almond butter, sesame butter, cocoa powder, coconut, einkorn flour, and rolled oats flavored with local honey and selected adaptogenic herbs.

Elderberry Einkorn Muffin Not your light and fluffy muffin, these are hearty. Not only do these muffins contain immune-boosting elderberries — they are made with Einkorn Flour! The elderberries come from the syrup-making process, and include some honey, cloves, cinnamon, and ginger residue.

Chocolate and Flowers Valentine Herbal Tea Get your valentine (or yourself) this blend of cacao husks with roses and hibiscus flowers, with a sweet and healthy-heart treat that is naturally delicious.

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse: It’s spring, or at least the daffodils at Dogwood Valley Greenhouse think it is. I believe I’ve seen some red, red robins bobbin’ around among them too, but I’m sorry that I can’t add any of those to this year’s bouquets. I will have a limited number of daffodil bouquets available this week, and will do my best to fill all orders. But as always, the number of blooms available on Tuesdays is very weather-dependent. I’m actually thankful for the cooler weather, as 40’s and 50’s will prolong bloom a lot better than 60’s and 70’s. I’m hoping to have blooms for three weeks, so I suggest that you order early and often. If there are any unfilled orders this week, I will ask if you want me to fill your order next week instead. Enjoy this early breath of spring, as they smell so sweet inside your home!

You know spring is almost here when you see the primroses, pulmonarias, and woodland phlox beginning to show their colors. To tell the truth, these guys are jumping the gun just a wee bit, but we’re very happy to be able to add them back to the market. You know we’re still likely to get an ice storm sometime during February. Be sure to cover these beauties with a bedsheet or move to an unheated garage if the weather turns cold and/or nasty.
