Time to Order Local Food

The Market is back open this week and there are several announcements and notes from the farmers.

Rocky Glade Farm wants to let everyone know that they will have sweet potatoes and garlic for only a couple more weeks. Be sure to get yours before they are gone.

Rainbow Hill Farm returns with their apples and introduce an unpasteurized apple cider (not for human consumption).

White City Produce and Greenhouse has brought back Fresh Christmas wreaths but with some new designs this year.

If you are looking for items to give as gifts, there are also gift certificates for Stones River Market, Flying S Farms and Dogwood Valley Greenhouse.

West Wind Farms has added lamb chops to their selections of meats and poultry.

Looking for a different type of Christmas gift for the gardener on your list? Dogwood Valley Greenhouse has put together some succulent planters, which will make beautiful Christmas gifts or decorations for your own home. Round planters include 4 or 5 assorted succulents, and oval ones include 6 assorted plants. They will tolerate our dry home conditions and lower light level with enthusiasm all winter. Get yours soon; only one of each of these custom planters available!

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse still has a very few clearance priced hanging baskets: $5 each, including Flame Violet, green Swedish Ivy, and green-and-white Wandering Jew. These are very nice winter houseplants in a sunny window.

Thank you for your orders last week.
