The Market is Back Open - A Producer Returns

This post expired on October 20, 2023.

Welcome back to another week of locally grown and made products. Healthy Harvest Breads returns this week after a long hiatus due to equipment failure. She brings back her Ezekiel Bread that was quite popular.

We have some new and returning items this week as well as notes from some of our farmers.

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse is running a special on perennials through the end of October. Now is a very good time to start or add to a perennial garden. Planted now, perennials will have time to grow strong, healthy roots before cold weather. Good roots in fall mean plentiful blooms in spring. Get your perennials now… regularly $6 each, they are 3 for $15 this week. Also hanging baskets are further reduced, originally $10, reduced to $7, now on clearance for $5 each. Includes Creeping Jenny, Flame Violet, Swedish Ivy (Green), Wandering Jew (purple-and-silver or green-and-white or “Purple Heart”), and New Guinea Impatiens. I have only a couple of each left, so get yours now!

Check out the granola’s offered by Healthy Harvest Breads and Kelly Creek Farm. There are now eight different delicious flavors.

Rocky Glade Farm brings back carrots and introduces us to Asian Purple Sweet Potatoes.

Jonagold apples from Rainbow Hill Farm returns this week.

Just in time for Halloween and other fall festivities, White City Produce and Greenhouse has listed pumpkins and gourds. When ordering pumpkins, added a comment to the order type desired.

Be sure to check out what the other farmers and producers are offering this week.

Thank you for your orders last week.

John
